Summary: The aim of this study is to evaluate the overall impact of the “Treball als Barris” program in the municipality of Manresa, both in terms of employment and social impact. First, a systematic literature review of similar programs is conducted. Second, the study analyzes the employment and social trajectories of participants, how the program interventions have influenced these trajectories, and which profiles have responded best to each intervention. Third, a case study is carried out using focus groups to gain a deeper understanding of the participants’ experiences. Finally, a counterfactual analysis is performed to measure the program’s impact on the participants.

Summary: The study comprises four main evaluations on early school leaving in compulsory secondary education. The first aims to measure the effect of the characteristics (in the pedagogical, organisational, and material dimensions) of high-complexity schools on the continuity of students into post-compulsory studies. The other three seek to analyse the effect of specific schooling measures on the completion of intermediate vocational training programmes: the guidance council, the prioritisation of continuity enrollment, and scholarships.

Summary: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the three main categories of programs that constitute the active employment policies implemented by the Public Employment Service of Extremadura (SEXPE): employment incentives in the private sector, direct job creation in the public sector, and training initiatives. The study seeks to identify areas for improvement in the allocation of public resources. To this end, eight programs from these three categories, designed to enhance the employability of individuals experiencing unemployment, have been selected and analyzed in terms of their effectiveness. Causal methodologies have been used to assess the impact of each employment program.

Thus, the actions, resources and educational services under evaluation were: the intensive measures and support (MSI) aimed at students with special educational needs (SEN), the actions of the EAPs aimed at students with SEN due to the key role they play in the psycho-pedagogical evaluation for the recognition of NESE – specifically, SEN -, and the counseling they provide to the entire educational community – and the CRETDICs – to support students with developmental and behavioral disorders, and counseling in the educational community

Summary: This work consists of the design of a methodology model for detection and intervention at the local level in situations of risk for children and adolescents from a community, preventive and gender perspective, based on comprehensive support centered on each person and on children’s rights. The objectives of the research are (i) to design the model of intervention in risk situations at the local level, differentiating between the detection model and the model of intervention in a situation of moderate risk (ii) to improve the system of detection and local intervention in risk situations (iii) to generate and disseminate knowledge to facilitate its replicability in other municipalities. The results to be achieved are (i) diagnosis of the situation (ii) map of resources, measures and actions (iii) bank of good practices (iv) proposal of the community and integral intervention model (v) proposal of the community and integral intervention model. For the development of the project, 10 pilot municipalities have been selected to serve as the basis for the analysis and will participate in the process of designing the detection and intervention model.

Summary: This article focuses on summer camps, an activity that many families cannot afford for economic reasons. Summary: We conducted a Spanish national survey of 2,000 families to understand the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on the nutrition and health of children in Spain. In the study, we compare the results with the National Health Survey of Spain carried out in 2017. The research shows that almost 28.1% of those under 18 years of age would be overweight and/or obese in Spain after COVID -19, a similar proportion to that before the pandemic, which stood at 27.6%. This situation can be aggravated by the increase in the prices of vegetables and fruits as a result of the recent runaway inflation.

Summary: This study analyzes four programs of the Public Employment Service of Castilla y León, which total more than 30 million euros executed in the year analyzed. The study is divided into two blocks: the first analyzes two programs through an evaluation of design and procedures, an evaluation of monitoring indicators and information systems, and an impact evaluation on employability and the quality of employment. The second block carries out an impact evaluation on the employability of workers in the two other programs. Finally, the study presents a series of proposals for improvement.

Summary: After conducting a Spanish national survey of 2,000 families on the mental health of their children, the report indicates that the incidence of these problems is three times higher (10%) in unemployed families than families that have kept their jobs (3%) after the COVID-19 crisis. Furthermore, children and adolescents living in low-income households are 4 times more likely (13%) to suffer from mental and/or behavioral disorders than those living in high-income households (3%). Also in the poorest households there is a greater proportion of migrant children who have a higher incidence of mental and/or behavioral disorders.

Summary: It aims to review the set of reform proposals for the Spanish local financing model that have been developed over the last decade. In the case of municipalities, this review refers to the two key pieces of the model: the resources that come from their tax basket and the resources that come from transfers granted by other administrations. And in the case of supra-municipal administrations, it basically refers to the transfers they receive from other levels of government.
